Big 5 Announces 2010-2011 Men's Basketball Award Winners

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Philadelphia Big 5 announced its 2010-2011 Men's Basketball award winners on Wednesday with Temple's Lavoy Allen headlining the honorees.

Allen was voted the Big 5 Player of the Year by the Herb Good Basketball Club.  Allen will receive the Robert V. Geasey Trophy at the Philadelphia Big Five banquet, Monday, April 25, 2011 in the Fox-Gittis Room at the Liacouras Center.                                                                                                       

Joining Allen on the All-Big Five first team are his teammate Ramone Moore, Villanova’s Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes and Penn’s Zack Rosen.

The second team includes Penn’s Jack Eggleston, Temple’s Juan Fernandez, Carl Jones of Saint Joseph’s, La Salle’s Aaric Murray and Villanova’s Maalik Wayns.
