Fisher and Ford earn Big 5 honors

Men's Player of the Week
The Philadelphia Big 5 honored Corey Fisher (Jr., G) of Villanova with the Big 5 Men's Player of the Week award. Fisher racked up 17 points while shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc to lead the Wildcats to a 90-72 victory over Notre Dame on Wednesday. He added on two rebounds, six assists, and a steal in Villanova's only action of the week.
Honor Roll
• Luis Guzman (Sr., G) of Temple scored a career-high 14 points along with five rebounds and three assists in the Owls' 74-64 loss to Charlotte on Wednesday. After graduating and earning his marketing degree in three and a half years on Friday, he racked up two points, eight rebounds and five assists as Temple went on to beat La Salle 64-52.
• Jack Eggleston (Jr., G) of Penn scored in double figures in each game as the Quakers went 1-2 on the week. He had a double-double at Yale on Friday with 13 points and a career-high 13 boards and then added 18 points and nine rebounds as Penn defeated Brown 55-54 the next night. He also racked up 10 points against Saint Joseph's earlier in the week.
• Idris Hilliard (Jr., F) of Saint Joseph's also had a total of three double-figure games on the week. He scored 12 points as the Hawks defeated Big 5 opponent Penn 85-64. He put up 14 points against Massachusetts and then yet another 14 points, along with 14 boards, in their 74-71 loss to Duquesne on Sunday.
• Aaric Murray (Fr., C) of La Salle scored a career-high 24 points by sinking a career-high nine field goals and three three-pointers as the Explorers defeated Fordham 80-73 on Wednesday. He also added on 11 points as La Salle fell to Temple 64-52 on Saturday.
Women's Player of the Week
Saint Joseph's Brittany Ford (Sr., F) was awarded Player of the Week on the women's side. Ford averaged 19 points per game while shooting 76.2 percent from the field to lead the Hawks to a 2-0 week. She racked up a team-high 15 points and added on a key block in the last minute of their 45-39 win at La Salle. She followed that up with a 23 point performance, 19 of which came in the second half, in Saint Joseph's 63-47 victory over George Washington.
Honor Roll
• Sara Ely (So., G) of Penn averaged 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game for the week.
• Morgan Robertson (Sr., F) of La Salle averaged a team-best 12.5 points and nine rebounds per game, including the 14th double-double of her career with 19 points and 11 rebounds against Saint Joseph's on Wednesday.
• Jasmine Stone (Sr., F) helped Temple to a 1-1 week, averaging a double-double of 13.5 points and 13 rebounds per game. She tallied 13 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks, and three steals as the Owls defeated Saint Louis 63-48 on Wednesday. She added on a second double- double to the week with 14 points and 11 rebounds against St. Bonaventure while making 7-of- 8 from the field.
